We spent our police careers chasing fly-tippers. Now we stop them.
Flytipping Enforcers was founded in 2026 by two former rural police officers, [Founder names to be added], who saw the same story on repeat: victims paying for someone else's crime, and offenders walking away because the evidence wasn't there.
Why we started this company
In rural policing you learn two truths about fly-tipping. First, it's rarely random: offenders scout sites, favour unwatched gateways, and return to places that worked before. Second, cases collapse for one reason above all: no evidence. A pile of waste with no vehicle, no plate and no timestamp is a clearance bill, not a prosecution. Nationally, only around 31% of incidents are even investigated, and in 2024/25 just 1,250 court fines were issued in the whole of England against 1.26 million recorded incidents.
We built Flytipping Enforcers to attack both truths at once. Visible, credible deterrence removes the offender's confidence that nobody's watching. And when someone tips anyway, cameras designed around how offenders actually move, positioned by people who've reviewed thousands of hours of rural CCTV, capture what a case genuinely needs.
What "police-grade" means in practice
- Evidence with continuity. Timestamped, securely stored footage with a clear handling record, packaged so councils, the Environment Agency and civil courts can rely on it.
- Statements that stand up. We know what investigators and prosecutors need in a file because we've written and carried those files.
- Deterrence that's believed. Offenders can spot dummy cameras and idle threats. Our signage names the technology, the monitoring, the location and the penalties, and every word of it is true.
- Respect for the law on our side too. ICO-registered, UK GDPR-compliant processing, proportionate camera siting and limited retention. Enforcement only works when the evidence is gathered lawfully.
Our mission
Simple: make fly-tipping on protected land a losing proposition. Prevention first, because the best incident is the one that never happens. Enforcement without hesitation when prevention isn't enough. And cost recovery as standard, because the person who should pay for clearing waste is the person who dumped it.
